South America
South America:
Whether it’s playing for a national title or a neighborhood pick-up game, sports are obsessively popular forms of entertainment and the front door to cities, countries, and all cultures in South America.
There’s no doubt that football (soccer) is the favorite sport, but it’s by no means the only game. Basketball, Field Hockey, Rugby, Tennis and Netball all have their fans and organized tournaments.
With so much money available, sporting facilities and infrastructure have been the key beneficiaries. World class venues and training facilities catered to just about every sport are littered all over the continent!
North America is the only continent in the world that has all climatic types. It has savanna and tropical rainforest in Central America, tundra in the northern parts of Canada and Alaska, and permanent ice cap in Greenland. There are also semi-arid and desert conditions near areas surrounded by high mountains.
The most dominant languages in North America are Spanish, French, and English. There are also a large number of people who speak Danish, but they are mostly confined to Greenland.
South America offers the unique opportunity to combine different countries, cultures and sports all on the same trip. Whether it’s a 7, 10 or 14 day trip, SPORTOURZ knows the ins and outs of the continent!
